The Gonzaga Bulldogs and South Carolina Gamecocks have tipped off in their NCAA Tournament Final Four matchup.

Gonzaga (36-1), the No. 1 seed from the West Region, quieted critics who wondered all season if the Bulldogs, who play in the West Coast Conference, were tough enough come tournament time.
South Carolina (26-10), the No. 7 seed from the East Region, may be the biggest surprise of the tournament. The Gamecocks reached the Final Four by playing relentless defense and an offense fueled by Sindarious Thornwell.
